After he brings them back from the sea, Christoph installs his boat sculptures using flexible steel staves, giving them room to move and flexibility to respond to the wind. As a base he uses blocks of painted wood. Several sculptures are combined to installations creating a three dimensional space in the room, carrying driftwood boats that seem to be waiting for or dreaming of the sea. CS (2012)
